Gary L. Williams, O.D.

Gary Williams,OD earned his Doctorate of Optometry in 1961, graduating from Southern California School of Optometry. He has completed postgraduate studies in ocular therapeutics including the management of LASIK and glaucoma. His experience ranges from three years with Air Force Base Clinic, twenty-five years with Kaiser Permanente Eye Clinic and nineteen years of private practice. Dr. Williams had the prestigious honor of being a National Board of Examiner for Optometry, where he participated in determining whether potential optometrists have adequate skills for licensure. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association and past President of the Kern County Optometric Society. Presently, Dr. Williams is chair of the California Optometric Association Political Action Committee. He has won the"Key Person of the Year" Award twice for the California Optometric Association.

Outside of the office, Dr. Williams enjoys all forms of horseback riding adventures, golfing and keeping physical fit.
